Founders' Vision
More Than a Restaurant.

A Celebration of Mangalorean Hospitality.

What started as a simple dream to bring authentic Mangalorean flavours to Nagpur has grown into something much bigger, a place where people gather over great food, meaningful conversations, and warm hospitality.

What started as a simple dream to bring authentic Mangalorean flavours to Nagpur has grown into something much bigger, a place where people gather over great food, meaningful conversations, and warm hospitality.

Every recipe, every ingredient, and every guest experience reflects our passion for authenticity, quality, and genuine hospitality. At The Mangaluru Kitchen, every decision we make is guided by one belief: authenticity should never be compromised. From the recipes we preserve to the ingredients we choose and the experience we create, every detail reflects our commitment to staying true to our roots.

As we continue to grow across cities, our vision remains unchanged – to become India’s most trusted destination for authentic Mangalorean cuisine while preserving the warmth, culture, and hospitality that define every TMK experience.

Because for us, every meal is more than food. It’s a story, a memory, and a connection that brings people together.

A Note From The Founders
Namaskara

When we started The Mangaluru Kitchen, we weren’t just opening a restaurant, we were sharing a part of our home, our culture, and the food we grew up loving. Over the years, we’ve celebrated milestones, learned from challenges, and made bold decisions that have shaped who we are today. Through it all, one thing has remained constant: our commitment to serving authentic food with genuine hospitality.

Every guest who walks through our doors becomes a part of our journey, and every smile, conversation, and shared meal reminds us why we began. As The Mangaluru Kitchen continues to grow, we promise to stay rooted in the values that brought us here – quality, authenticity, consistency, and heartfelt hospitality.

Thank you for being a part of our story. We look forward to welcoming you to our table, wherever our journey takes us next. With gratitude,

The Emergence
2023
December

The Mangaluru Kitchen opened its first outlet in Pratap Nagar with one simple vision, to bring authentic Mangalorean flavours to Nagpur.

2024
June

Just six months later, we took one of the boldest decisions in our journey, we shut down our only outlet to completely renovate and improve the experience. While many saw a closed shutter, we saw an opportunity to rebuild.

2024
July

The renovated outlet reopened with a stronger identity, improved operations, and an even greater commitment to quality.

2025 - 2026

The journey continued with the launch of new outlets across Nagpur, including Sadar, Wardhaman Nagar, and Ramdaspeth Express, making The Mangaluru Kitchen one of the city’s most loved South Indian brands.

2026
Today

With four successful outlets, thousands of happy customers, and expansion plans beyond Nagpur, our journey has only just begun.

What People Are Saying
Worth the hype! Mangaluru Kitchen serves one of the best benne and ghee podi masala dosas—perfectly crisp, generously loaded with butter and ghee, and so addictive you can’t resist after just one. The podi masala adds a rich, flavourful kick, and the biryani was also good, making the overall experience completely satisfying and worth revisiting.

It is the best South Indian restaurant in the City . They have really improved the quality of food, taste and service. You will get a wide variety of South Indian dishes. Each one tastes better than another and most important is they have maintained the authentic taste of sambar and all the chutneys.

Visited Mangaluru Cafe recently and had a really good experience. The food tastes authentic and is served fresh and hot. The dosas were crispy, the idlis were soft, and the chutneys were flavorful. The sambar had a nice traditional touch and paired well with everything.
